Jimenez Kasintseva and Bejlek to meet in the WTA Makarska Open final — tennis fans are in for a true spectacle

Brilliant semifinal matches at the WTA Makarska Open hosted by Valamar. Both going the distance in three sets. Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva, the nineteen-year-old from Andorra who knocked out Petra Marčinko in the quarterfinals, has reached the final. In a marathon battle against Serbia’s Lola Radivojević, she came through after nearly three and a half hours, winning 6:7 (2), 7:5, 6:4.

In the second semifinal, it looked as though top seed Australian Maya Joint would cruise to a comfortable victory. However, Czech Sara Bejlek managed to fight her way back into the match and ultimately prevailed 2:6, 7:5, 6:2. She had the wind in her sails thanks to a group of Czech tourists cheering her on from the stands.

The Czechs also celebrated in the doubles final. Miriam Kolodziejova and Jesika Malečkova defeated Georgia’s Oksana Kalashnikova and Russia’s Elena Pridankina 2:6, 6:3 (10:4). Again it looks like the English translation came back my way — send over the next Croatian paragraph whenever you’re ready!

Whether the fourth Makarska Open hosted by Valamar will be claimed by Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva or Sara Bejlek, we will find out tomorrow. The final gets underway at 8 PM, but before the match, tennis fans can look forward to a spectacular show. Before the final, Šime Elez and Miloš Mićević from RTL’s show Gospodin Savršeni (The Bachelor) will battle it out in an exhibition match, Marino Vrgoč will take to the stage, and the evening will close with “U ritmu emocija” — a concert by Frajle.
